Super 8 film can be added on for an initial fee of $300 for the first ~3 minute film roll. Each additional film roll is $200. The super 8 footage will be tastefully added to key moments of the wedding feature film. You’ll also get a separate uncut video of all of the footage.

If you’ve inquired about a “super 8 only” film, prices and deliverables will vary. We’ll chat to figure out the best option for you!

What to expect.

Cohl is a cinematographer with 15+ years of editing experience and thousands of hours behind the camera. This experience helps us treat each wedding like the unique and personal experience that it is. We don’t make cookie-cutter wedding films.

We require a 20% retainer to lock your date in our calendar, this applies to the total balance. The remainder is due by the wedding day. We offer payment plans or “pay-as-you-want” options, all handled through our contract and invoicing website.

We define “full day” as arriving early enough and staying late enough that we don’t miss any important moments. This typically means capturing the tail end of the bridal party getting ready through ~90 minutes after the dance floor has been open. If you have a grand exit planned, we’re there for it!

Once we’re booked to film your wedding day, there are a few things we’ll need from you.

  • Contact information for your photographer and planner (if you have one), so we can help coordinate our services

  • Contact information for your venue (only if they notify you that they require a certificate of insurance from your vendors)

  • We’ll have you fill out a detailed questionnaire ~90 days before your wedding date. This helps us fine tune our coverage and gives us better insight into your love story so we can craft you a truly one of a kind film

We typically like to attend wedding rehearsals, especially if it’s at the ceremony location. This gives us a chance to plan our shots and camera locations, not to mention how useful it is to learn the flow of the ceremony! We’ll get the rehearsal details from you when the wedding day gets closer.

We pride ourselves on how well we work with other vendors! We will work alongside your photographer to capture every special moment. Your DJ won’t be waiting on us to start speeches. Your planner will we happy we kept to the schedule. Keeping everything running smoothly is a huge part of our job and we excel at it!
